Call the Hawaii State Legislature: Public Safety & Working People First!

Call our Hawaii State Legislators: Prioritize Public Safety & Hawaii’s Working People!

Two weeks ago, 311 Hawaii residents emailed the top leadership of the Hawaii State Legislature, urging them to prioritize Hawaii’s working families as they deliberate over the state budget.

Not a single one of these 311 people has received a response from these legislators. Meanwhile, the Hawaii State Legislature decided to put over $1.6 billion in state and federal funding into a “rainy day” fund rather than healthcare coverage, unemployment benefits, or other services that could help hundreds of thousands of Hawaii residents and their families.

We are extremely disappointed at the lack of response and leadership from the State Capitol.

But we will not give up until our voices our heard and our concerns are addressed. Our next action is to call Speaker of the House Scott Saiki, Senate President Ron Kouchi, House Finance Chair Sylvia Luke, and Senate Ways & Means Chair Donovan Delacruz.

Fill out the form below to join this action. You will receive one text message per day for four days, starting today (Tue. 5/26/20) until Fri. 5/29/20, with instructions on how to call these legislators.
