For decades, residents of the North Shore of Oahu have been fighting to keep the country country and preserve good, local jobs. Learn more about the development struggle at Turtle Bay Resort and how community members and UNITE HERE Local 5 came together to fight the mainland banks and developers.
AiKea and Na Mea Hawaii were honored at the Hawai’i Peoples Fund’s annual dinner. Local activists and grassroots organizations across a range of issues came together to celebrate another year of activism and fighting for real change.
