Tell Governor Ige to veto HB1850

2016.05.04 HB1850 final voteWe’re sad to report that HB1850 passed final reading in the State Legislature. 14 senators voted yes on HB1850 and 11 senators voted no. 28 representatives voted yes on HB1850, 2 voted yes with reservations, and 19 representatives voted no. You can view how each legislator voted below. Note that all of the representatives and 14 senators (see below) are up for reelection. Find your legislators here.

Our next step is to tell Governor David Ige to veto HB1850. Contact him: 586-0034 or [email protected]. It’s time for our governor to lead on this issue, to protect our community and not sell us out to corporations like Airbnb. Illegal vacation rentals negatively impact our affordable housing, our economy, and our neighborhoods.
